Presale listing
Summary: daytonasnook has started a presale listing on eBay for a coin available from the mint in December and is unsure how to manage presale buyers and their payments. lisa5768 explains that the listing does not follow eBay's presale policy, which requires shipping within a certain timeframe, suggesting the option to refund buyers and correct the listing. comics-scifi-collectibles adds that a 40-day handling time can be set using the Seller Hub, and warns that violating this policy may lead to account issues.
I have started a presale listing for a coin that will not be available from the mint till first week in December. I see many sellers doing presales for the same item as me.
I have had 2 people "buy" my coin in my listing. My listing states the coin will not be delivered to me from the mint till 1st week in December. Since they have "Paid" me. I
opened my selling page. All I see is the standard "get shipping lable" and send to buyer. There is nothing is see to tell me #1 where do I put there money till December.
#2 How am I going to keep track of all the peoples names ,address and how many they have purchased. I saw sellers the have over 300 "Persales" already on the same coin
that I am selling. I have been an EBay seller for over 25 years with a 901 100% transactions. I am selling items I have in stock. Never an issue. I need some clarification
on just how do I keep track of my Presale customers so they get there items and me not loosing my mind. I have looked all over EBay to see if there is any page to keep track of presale items
when I get a sale! " HELP"

Mentor1 week ago@daytonasnook I just wanted to add to my fellow Mentor's excellent answer that you do have to create a listing on a computer from Seller Hub to have the option for a 40 day handling time. The item MUST ship within 40 days of the date of sale.
Sellers that are violating this policy will not have their accounts for long.

Your listing does not follow eBay's presale items policy, that is why it is expecting you to ship within the handling time you set on your listing. If you do not you will receive defects for late shipping that can put your account into below standard status. You will need to list the item correctly to avoid issues. You may need to refund the buyers and then fix the listing or create a new one.
Here is the presale policy so you will know what needs to be done to properly list those items:
