Prepaid card balance
I uploaded a prepaid card to my ebay account. I assumed that I would be able to use the entire balance and then ebay would prompt me for an additional payment method when the balance was used up. Instead, ebay simply tells me there is not enough money left on the card for whatever I'm trying to buy.
The prepaid card website is an endless cycle of password resetting that goes nowhere and you can't call anyone.
Does anyone know how or if I can check the balance of a prepaid card that I uploaded to ebay?

That is not how prepaid cards work. If the total is more than the balance the transaction will be declined. You will need to select a different payment method for this purchase. The card site will have that information in the terms.
You should be able to get the balance without logging into the prepaid site using their balance checker page as long as you have the card number info.

OP7 months agoThank you but to get to any balance checking page you have to log in. All I want to do is to try to convert whatever balance is left to an ebay gift card.

On the back of your card there should be a phone number you can call, try that for your balance.
It is not possible to convert to an eBay gift card. Gift cards need to be purchased then registered to your account.
