Pre-Sale Items Never Sent
Summary: agreenbrotha expressed frustration over purchasing model airplanes from a seller that were never delivered, mentioning a delay beyond the buyer protection window. Reviews from others indicated similar issues with this seller. krazzykats suggested requesting a chargeback, but noted it might be too late. comics-scifi-collectibles mentioned that eBay assistance was unlikely due to time elapsed but suggested small claims court or checking PayPal's 180-day protection if used for purchase. They also highlighted rules regarding presale items and delivery timelines.
Hello,
I purchased two model airplanes through a seller back in August 2025. They had on their original post they items being sent out in November 2025. Then claimed there were production delays. The items never made it beyond the pre-production phase. I was patient, but began to realize my purchase would be falling out of the buyer protection window. I can see from other reviews left they were also left without their items being sent. It is too bad these sellers are allowed to take money from buyers on this forum and there is no protection for the buyer outside of the 180 day window. I messaged the seller last month and again last week. No response. Sounds like I am out of luck. I would very much like to report this shop to prevent others from losing money.

MentorSep 7, 2026 at 5:05 PM · Edited@agreenbrotha It is unfortunately too late for help from eBay, and probably too late for a chargeback. Your only option would be small claims which is problematic since the seller is most likely in another state.
Refund cases on eBay must be filed within 30 days of the last estimated delivery date in your purchase history. NOT a date that the seller stated in the description.
If you pay using PayPal they do offer up to 180 days from the date of purchase for not received items.
Sellers are not supposed to list a presale item unless it can be shipped within 40 days of the date of sale AND they have a 40 day handling time.
