Pre-order product ready but seller has vanished

Question

Back in May, I paid for two items on ebay that were pre-orders. The items werent scheduled to be released until Sept. Now the products have been released to the general public, but the seller is nowhere to be found. They arent selling anything anymore and are not responding to messages or emails. I spent $120 for these items and now I have lost the money and have no items. I just want my money back now. I am not getting much help with ebay. What can I do?

@tenchijack < Back in May, I paid for two items on ebay that . . . werent scheduled to be released until Sept > The first thing that came to mind is that eBay prohibits pre-orders that are scheduled for delivery further out than 40 days, so the seller violated that policy, stated here: https://www.ebay.com/help/policies/listing-policies/presale-policy?id=4252 Well, that's water under the bridge, so what to do now. The Item Not Received guarantee claim has to be submitted within 30 days after the Estimated Delivery date. Since that was last month, you might be bumping the deadline, maybe from the wrong side. Go ahead and submit an INR claim. You can get that started here: https://www.ebay.com/help/buying/returns-refunds/reporting-item-didnt-receive?id=4042 eBay will let you know if you're too late. If the eBay guarantee has expired, if you paid with PayPal, log in and submit a claim for the item having not been delivered. If you didn't use PayPal, then call the customer service number on the back of the credit card you paid with, and open a chargeback.

Hi @tenchijack You can contact either PayPal or your credit card company for your refund. Itâ€™s too late to get help from eBay Iâ€™m afraid.
