Potential fraud
I purchased a Nikon lens for $2500. The seller contacted me and told me the lens was damaged in transit and that he would initiate a refund through eBay which he did, eBay says the refund is pending but the listed the reason for the return was in accurate or insufficient address for me the buyer. I just click on the sellers profile and he has deleted his account. I paid with a bank card and I’m curious as to what my odds are of getting my money back? Thank you for your help

OP8 months agoI did receive a box it was filled with Covid masks. This is definitely a fraud and trying to get eBay to respond to me or at least to talk with a live. Human has been ridiculously frustrating. Not sure what to do now

(When the Covid masks arrived, the eBay solution at that time was to open a Return Request for Item Not As Described.)
The seller has started a refund.
Try eBay's social media customer service to get assistance, an update.

I'm sorry that happened.
Wait for the case to be resolved through eBay before you turn to the bank. Once you open a case with the bank, eBay can't help. Your odds are very good with eBay, you just need to follow the process.
eBay apparently removed that seller from the platform. That's why their account is closed. A seller with outstanding sales can't close their account until everything is satisfied.
If the refund is pending, give it a day or so. Do you see pending refund *on* your eBay account?
The refund should clear and you should get your money in 1-2 work days.
Please come back to update me when you get your refund (or if you don't, so I can provide more advice)
