Postage due on item shipped?
Shipping fee was more than eBay calculated.. ?
for some reason I have postage due on an item I recently shipped. it was 11 ounces and I had USPS ground selected when I printed a label. Shipping was $5 for the buyer. seemed correct - eBay calculated it. I printed label / "shipped" on 1/17. the label/package went into the mail on 1/18 and was picked up either that morning or the morning of 1/19... but now it's saying I owe $4.50. I see that postage prices increased on January 19. 3.9% for ground and 9.2% for parcel. I still don't understand why shipping would have been what appears to be $9.50. Any ideas? eBay site says I owe $4.50.

You needed to accurately weigh and measure the prepackaged item and entered in those precise details into the shipping calculator when you created the listing. Since the postage costs were more than what you entered, you underestimated the cost of shipping.
