If you charge a buyer a set shipping charge of let's say 5.00, you print out your label and it's only 3.00....where does the extra 2.00 go? Does eBay keep it, decide on their own to return it to the buyer, or does it get added to my fees being it's a charge I set?

Mentor2 years agoYou get whatever you charge the buyer. If the postage is more, you pay the difference. If the postage is less, you can keep the difference, or you can send the buyer a little refund to reduce what you charged them.
You do not have to charge exact postage, but you should keep it reasonable. Your best option is to use calculated shipping - enter the weight and dimensions of the package and let eBay find the correct charge. They will charge your buyer the retail rate, which is more than you will pay. This gives you a little to cover packaging and fees.
The shipping on your items look reasonable, expect the shoelaces look too low. You won't be able to ship that for $3.50 unless the buyer is very close by.
