Post office returned to sender.
Customer contacted me to send the item to a different address , I told them they have to updated the address with ebay , they didn't respond meanwhile I received the label from ebay and I contacted them again, didn't hear from them and I message that I would be sending the item with the label I got from ebay . Never heard from them , so when I received the item back I message them , and they responded " we asked for to send to a different address, " now what they said " so I told them I would refund minus the postage. Haven't heard from them since . What do I do. Cancel and refund ? Thank you

Some buyers are slow to respond to messages, because they don't realize how the selling system here can be fluid.
To foster good relations, you could probably refund in full. Obviously you tried to appease them by asking and trying to clarify.
Here's what I would do at this point:
Refund them for the cost of the item since you got it back. For now keep the shipping amount, that was a cost to you and their mistake.
I'm assuming they haven't opened any return requests on their side of this back and forth?
I wouldn't contact them any further though.
They could still do so a return request, and if they do, you might need to refund the shipping. But if they drag their feet too long, you should be good.

I do NOT recommend canceling as problem with buyers address or you will be out of pocket for the outbound shipping costs.
These are a couple of options for handling a package that was returned to you as not deliverable.
1. Go to the sold listing and select send refund for the item price only. Then select sell similar to relist the item and they can purchase it again putting in the correct address at checkout. You are not required by eBay to refund for an item that is returned to sender if the buyer provided an invalid address.
2. If they don't want the item or don't respond. Go to the sold item and select send refund from the drop down menu next to the item. Then on the next page select OTHER for the reason. Next refund the ITEM PRICE ONLY. Do not give a full refund with the shipping costs. eBay does refund sellers fees on the amount that you refund the buyer. If you have to do this option I'd add the buyer to my blocked buyer list>
