Post Office Loses Item
Has anyone had a problem with the Post Office losing shipments and then saying they were delivered when they were not? Such is my case . The Post office is not a reliable service and should NEVER be trusted! Always request either Fedex or UPS with a signature on an ebay shipment that way you can have a confirmation of your delivery. Sure it might cost more, but you get piece of mind. It's not the seller's fault, It's Not my fault, but I still don't have my package that was supposedly delivered to my "SECURED" mailbox. I am heartbroken to not get my package. I have reached out to the Congressman's office. He wasn't interested in fixing the problem as he is supposed to do when you have problems with the Post Office. I have reached out to the local television channel with it too. The Post Office Chronically looses the mail and then denies all culpability in the transaction even with a tracking number. Anyone else have problems with the Post Office? --- PO'd at the PO

OP3 years agoI did this. They had a substitute carrier. Instead of leaving me a message, or anything they had marked it delivered, brought it back to the post office to send it out again the next day with no note or anything. They do have a problem with proper delivery. There has been a problem in the neighborhood with this because even neighors are getting other's packages and mail. I have my package now but I still do not trust USPS to do the right thing. Neighbors from across town had all said that they have similar problems recently.

Mentor3 years agoI'm glad you received your package. There's always going to be an issue from time to time, but I think overall the usps does an amazing job, when you think about how many packages and pieces of mail they handle. I know it doesn't feel that way when it is your package that is missing or mis-scanned.

Mentor3 years agoGo to your PO with the tracking # and ask them to look up the delivery. The scanners have GPS, so they can see exactly where it was delivered. If mis-delivered, your carrier should try to retrieve the package for you.
