Post office Iost package i was sending to customer

Question

I dropped off package at post office to be shipped to customer but customer never received nor does it say it even left post office and I contacted post office and they have no info on even receiving the package to be sent out . What to do?

If the buyer has opened an Item Not Received Case, upload the tracking number.

Even though there is no movement yet, it may get a scan soon.

Always, always get a scan at the post office or from your carrier. If you just drop packages off, then they can get lost. If there is no initial scan, it doesn't get as many scans along the way.

If the package doesn't show up, you will have to refund the buyer.

Since the PO has no proof it was shipped (initial scan), they won't refund you.

With the eBay Money Back Guarantee, the Buyer can open an Item Not Received refund request on eBay once it is one day past the estimated delivery date.

If you used an eBay label and refund the Buyer from that INR, once eBay can see the package was delivered, eBay should reimburse you.

In the meantime, you can go to the USPS site and request tracking updates via text.
