There is nothing unfortunate about this incident. You accepted payment for the Lenovo P50 you say you had for sale. I purchased it, and other items in support of that purchase, now you say you don't have the P50 but, by description, -> you are offering that exact same item now on eBay. You are also advertising another P50 for sale, differing from the one I purchase only by said level of condition (B instead of C) but at more than twice the price. <- You told eBay that I canceled the order when I did not and your 'canceled notice' sent to me acknowledges that I did no such thing. I cannot say I know you've been dishonest but I can say this incident has all the earmarks of a 'Bait and Switch' operation. I demand you honor your sale by sending the very similar P50 you are currently advertising for sale. (edit) I cannot leave seller feedback because you've told eBay that I requested cancellation, the purchase money has been returned (in 2 or 3 days) so eBay considers the issue closed without option to complain or leave feedback. |

If the seller cancelled for any reason other than "out of stock", report the seller to eBay here:

See if you can leave feedback here:

OP4 months ago[Removed by moderator] is not out of stock, here he's selling a P50 in condition B instead of C but otherwise the exact same item (at twice the price)
[Removed by moderator]
A mild cosmetic difference does not support a Out of Stock condition. [Removed by moderator] has the item in stock, and he/she is selling it at twice the price.
Out-of-Stock can be a get-out-of-the-deal while having baited the customer.
eBay should require confirmation from the buyer on a Request to Cancel instead of taking the seller's word alone for it.

OP4 months agoI wouldn't ID the seller if I knew you had a means of examining the details of my issue, I don't so I'm only providing some info to help.
Unfortunately your responses have seemingly been oriented towards protecting the seller and eBay; you have not once addressed my issues with this purchase. Instead you've directed me to a means of complaining about the actions of a buyer (me) not a means of complaining about the seller (the ebay account that must.not.be.mentioned) who is at the root of this issue. Neither have you addressed the issue that the seller is not Out-of-Stock, nor its use in Baiting and Switching.
I've been a satisfied eBay customer for almost 20 years so it must be known that I'm not a pest who likes making trouble. Unfortunately you (eburtonlab?) are not improbably both actually unable to do anything about my issue and you're probably running out of patience. I have no interest in damaging my reputation with eBay and that alone indicates that no further effort to address the issue that the-eBay-account-that-must-not-be identified should be perused.
Unfortunately my years long respect for eBay has been injured. I must now be careful of eBay too.

eBay is not here; this is a user forum for asking questions about how eBay works.
Other users cannot address any issues for you with your transactions, but can make suggestions of things you may be able to do yourself.
The first link I provided allows a buyer to report an issue with a seller to eBay.
The second link allows a buyer to leave feedback if there are any qualified transactions that have not already had feedback left, and may include transactions that no longer appear on the Purchase History page that have been refunded.

OP4 months agoeburtonlab: The first link I provided allows a buyer to report an issue with a seller to eBay.
So you did, I missed it... Sorry.

OP4 months agoThe link you provided does not allow for reporting issues other than "My item hasn't arrived" and "I want to return my item" (I forgot, I did check that link).
Neither option allows for a complaint of a seller's apparently egregious and costly actions.

Keep scrolling, there are additional options further down the page.

Mentor4 months agoQuite all right.
eBay cannot force a seller to deliver an item you have purchased, but eBay can get you your funds back and the seller's account should have that held against the seller.
Sellers that make a habit of disappointing buyers in that way can lose their selling privileges.

OP4 months agohttps://www.ebay.com/fdbk/leave_feedback does not offer a feedback opportunity

Mentor4 months agoIt does if you have not already left feedback.
