Possible stolen merchandise
I would like to inquire about something I see for sale on ebay. I found what seems to be a ring that was stolen from me 15 or so years ago. I would like to know if it's the one. The seller will not tell me where he is located. I figured that would maybe give me a clue as to weather or not it would be the one I lost. I'm rather upset to see it on ebay and would like to recover it if it's the one I'm thinking it is. Is there any way I can get this information? It seems like the seller is avoiding me. Does ebay normally sell stolen merchandise?

As @rfmtm already mentioned, the Item Location is shown in listing … so you can find the answer to your specific question merely by checking the listing for the ring.
That said, people and items are easily moved … so knowing where the ring is currently doesn’t tell you whether it is yours.
eBay doesn’t sell anything itself. Whether any of the millions of eBay sellers have ever listed a stolen item … knowingly or unknowingly … I’m sure the answer is ‘yes’.
Have you considered purchasing the ring yourself while it’s still available for sale? [I realize that your questions to the seller might have caused them to block you.]
Could you tell if it is yours by seeing it in person?
