Possible stolen item being sold
I purchased an item that I believe might have been stolen. Although it was the item I purchased, the condition was not what was listed. I also found information on the item that showed it belonged to a company. I've worked in businesses that have sold or donate all kinds of items that are no longer needed or outdated. Never have I seen them leave telltale information on/with the item of what the company is and employee name(s) as well.
I returned the item to the seller to get my refund but it bothers my conscience that something illegal could be occurring. Should I take this further with ebay to investigate the legitimacy of items being sold or am I making too much of this?
