Possible scam, though I don't understand it

Last Thursday I order an item for $61.93 from a seller who created their account on Dec 1, 2025 and has 100% positive feedback (27). On Friday I receive a "Thanks for Your Order!" email from Lowe's for that item for $69.98 to my email address with my name and shipping address but a phone number which is NOT mine and the last four digits of a credit card which is NOT mine. The seller is dropshipping the item from Lowe's (purchasing it and having them ship it to you). This is not allowed o eBay.

When you receive the item, you can keep it or you can open a return for an item that is not as described to get your money back. The seller will have to jump through hoops to resolve this.

Here's what to do...

If you received an item that is not as described, you have up to 30 days to open a return using the option next to the transaction in your Purchase History. The seller will have 3 business days to provide a prepaid return shipping label or else refund. If he does neither, go back to the case on day 4 and use the option to ask eBay to step in. They will force the refund.

You can also report the seller for these policy violations:

1. Dropshipping.

2. Misrepresenting the item location on the listing.
