Possible scam...

I have received 2 different emails through eBay in the last 2 days asking me to rank an item (different items per email) on a scale of 1-10. Here is a copy of one of the emails: "Hi! What condition would you say this shirt is on a scale from 1 to 10? Please let me know very soon. Highly interested". I responded to the email then got a purchase notification through eBay that the person purchased the item. About 30 minutes after the purchase notice came through, I received another email from the same person asking "Ok! And is it like a blurple color? or is it definitely purple? I did not respond to this email.
Immediately after getting the 2nd email from the above person, I got an offer on a pair of Peter Millar golf pants coming from a different prospective buyer. I accepted the offer.
Neither of these items show as sold, no payments are pending or completed and eBay show the items as still active. My gut tells me something is very wrong here and I am having issues contacting eBay support (if it really exists lol).
All contact for both of these items has been through eBay, I have waited a couple hours hoping if it was a glitch it would be corrected, and I am not contacting the supposed buyers nor am I shipping anything out until I get some sort of confirmation on whether the items actually sold or not. Any suggestions on what might be happening here?

Do you mean an eBay message? Or an email? There is a difference, even when an eBay message is delivered via email.
Sharing email addresses prior to payment being made is against eBay policy; this is designed to protect users from scams that take place over email, and to ensure that eBay fees are not avoided.
For offers, until a buyer pays, there is no transaction. The item remains listed until someone pays.
Never rely on an email to determine if you have been paid; always sign in directly to your eBay account (without using any email links) and check to see if eBay says you have been paid and if you should ship.
