Poor Shipping Details Leave buyers helpless and uninformed
eBay recently decided against me in an issue where eBay allowed the seller to use UNVERIFIED information to deny me assistance and left me with nothing but a 90 dollars loss. I did appeal the decision and eventually the seller did refund my money BUT WHY DOES eBay now use UNVERIFIED information to SIDE WITH the seller? The Seller showed "CONFIRMATION OF DELIVERY" so eBay and the Seller said it was delivered WITHOUT ANY SORT OF VERIFICATION WHAT-SO-EVER ! The Delivery info was NON EXISTENT. The delivery company and the seller COULD NOT PROVIDE Photos of the delivery, verification of where the package was left, and could not even provide me with the COORDINATES of where the package was left.
HERE IS THE REAL PROBLEM: Where the seller should be providing the information of WHO (THE DELIVERY COMPANY) will be, they ONLY state VAGUE info about when the package will be shipped and how long it may take, BUT MOST PROVIDE NO INFORMATION as to who the CARRIER will be. When I once connected eBay about this here is what they said: I WOULD NEED TO COMMUNICATE WITH THE SELLER, PRIOR to ordering and ask them. THIS DOES NOT WORK FOR MANY REASONS, one being there are sellers on eBay who are permitted to accept no commutations. SECOND, when I have done this, the seller can still tell you one thing and then ship via a different method (Recently I explained to the seller I only wanted shipping via UPS, USPS or FedEx, and they agreed, but instead sent it via AMAZON! I came to eBay to AVOID Amazon and all other 3rd Party delivery methods. I believe it is wrong to mix eBay with Amazon sellers and delivery but eBay does not. The THIRD REASON eBay's "solution" does not work, is yet with another order I put this as instruction (message to the seller WITH the order: If you are using ANY other delivery method OTHER than UPS, USPS or FedEx, PLEASE CANCEL THIS ORDER and advise me. INSTEAD, the seller SENT THE ODER VIA A 3rd Party Delivery "service" AND PROCEEDED TO TELL ME it wood be fine, I will get the package and I will love the service! WELL not only did the delivery service NOT deliver it to me, it took me far too long to get refund from the seller who saw and clearly avoided me instruction!
THE ONLY WAY FOR THIS TO BE CORRECTED IS EASY AND SIMPLE, Just put the SPECIFIC delivery methods the seller is using RIGHT INTO THE DETAILS the seller provides about shipping! NO MORE "CRYPTIC" details like "DELIVERY IN 2 DAYS" via "economy shipping" WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?? Economical for the seller? Sent via USPS Sent by FedEx? sent via UPS, sent via UNI-UNI, sent via WHO?? I beg all who read this to seek clarity in shipping and encourage eBay to do the right thing That would be FIRST instructing Sellers to be more TRANSPARENT about shipping in the DETAILS, but MOST OF ALL, eBay, QUIT SIDING WITH UNCONFIRMED "confirmation" OF DELIVERY. Assist the BUYER in these cases or tell the seller to provide PROOF of delivery and NOT use the "word" of these terrible services saying it was "CONFIRMED" without ANY SORT OF PROOF it was delivered. DO NOT THROW BUYERS TO THESE WOLVES who use services who employ people who can BUT do not read posted signs, or drop packages to the wrong place and report them as delivered FELLOW eBay BUYERS, please see this and react, maybe we can get eBay TO DO THE RIGHT THING! ? ?

While most sellers choose the shipping details to show in the listing, sometimes sellers choose the carrier and delivery method based on where the buyer is located so it cannot be shown in the listing. This is a seller decision, not an eBay decision.
If you want more specifics, either contact the seller before you buy to ask or move on to another seller.
