Poor excuse from seller!
I used "Buy It Now"& paid seller immediately. He says his kids played sword fighting with my fly rod! What a lame excuse! He just changed his mind& canceled sale! Ebay.com needs to look into this!

AND you paid through eBay,
you are allowed to file an Item Not Received case (INR) through eBay's Money Back Guarantee (MBG).
Again, assuming you paid through eBay --
when that seller canceled the sale, he would have been required to check off one of just a few reasons that eBay offers for seller cancellations.
It seems most likely that he chose "Out of Stock" as his reason for cancellation.
If that's the case, eBay will refund you in full.
The seller does not get off "scot-free." His cancellation due to Out of Stock will earn him a defect on his eBay selling record, which will stay with him for one year.
