please help! Paid item, confirmed order email, NO tracking number after 5 days!
hello,
it’s the first I’ve ordered from eBay in a couple of years. I purchased a toy for my daughter for Christmas on Monday the 16th and received an order confirmation that my payment went through. Estimated time arrival was December 23 as of today I still have not received a tracking confirmation. When I look for it under my purchases, I do not see anything. But I have the item number and order confirmation from the seller. When I look the sellers username up and click on the item that I purchase, it takes me to an item that is now $175. I did try contacting the seller through email today however I have a feeling that something isn’t right and I feel very violated. I feel like I just got scammed out of money.
is there a way to contact eBay to try to intervene? It says I have to wait until the seller does not respond for three days so that will be definitely after the estimated arrival. Am I just over anxious here or has anybody seen this before? Please advise.
V

OP1 year agoWhy wouldn’t my purchase show up in my “purchase history!? I’ve attempted to contact eBay but it won’t let me unless I put the order number, which I have—-and it says it can’t be found?!?
there has to be a way to contact a live agent about this? when I resent for the guest order confirmation, it will appear in my email, but then all the info goes blank! I had to catch the order and item number by a quick screen shot before the info disappears.
I have a very bad feeling about this purchase. All I want to do is talk to someone live. I can’t even get to the part of the help link to request a form for refund since the “item doesn’t exist!†Does anyone have a direct number or link to an agent??!!

Mentor1 year ago@vromero_2222 Are you saying the order is not in your purchase history? https://www.ebay.com/mye/myebay/purchase
If you made the purchase using a guest account ( not logged in to your eBay account) it will not be in your purchase history.
Log out of your eBay account and request the guest account details from this page:
https://www.ebay.com/help/buying/returns-refunds/returning-item/returning-items-bought-guest?id=4065&st=
Then you can start a refund request, track your order, or contact the seller, from the guest account email. Do not log in to your regular eBay account.
If you need help starting a refund request here's how to contact customer service.
eBay agents are working from home so you have to request a call back or live chat.
1. CLICK THIS LINK:
https://www.ebay.com/help/eua?id=5275&mkevt=1&mkpid
2. Request a call back
If you are located outside of US or Canada then you will need to use the Chat option or Social Media
3. Or you can also contact customer service by sending a private message on social media. You leave a PRIVATE message and an eBay employee will get back to you as soon as possible.

Mentor1 year ago@vromero_2222. I'm so sorry but there's no way for ebay to force the seller to ship sooner.
The seller just has to make sure it arrives by the last estimated delivery date which you said is the 23rd.
If it doesn't arrive then you can file a refund requests for item not received.
I know that it's frustrating and it doesn't help with you needing a present for your daughter for Christmas

OP1 year agoThank you for the response. Just find it odd that I ordered on the 16th of December and a seller would take the money and wait until the 23rd to ship out /send a tracking number. They are in New Hampshire and I live in Michigan. it’s clearly going to take more than a day to arrive on the 23rd. I can’t even find the item in my purchase history that I bought the item. I only have the email confirmation. seems unprofessional on their end and I feel like I got scammed.
just unfortunate—was hoping to surprise my daughter

Mentor1 year ago@vromero_2222. I understand that this isn't the best experience.
Ebay's policy is that sellers do not have to use tracking as tracking is for the seller's protection to prove delivery.
As a buyer I know it's nice to see the tracking so you know the item is actually on the way.
Sellers can have handling times of 0 to 40 days they just have to make sure the item arrives by the last estimated delivery date.
