Please help me with shipping
Guys I need some help. I need to mail a bed frame from Virginia to Texas. They're telling me it's going to cost me $600 to do that. That's more than I'm getting for the bed. What can I do? It can't be broke down any further. The dimensions are 78 in by 10 in by 56 in. It's like a big flat TV box. There's no way it cost that much to ship it. It's just 65 lb

MentorJul 19, 2026 at 3:28 PM@amabo_4928 Always list large items as local pick up only.
Your options are to lose money on the sale and ship as eBay expects you to.
OR to cancel the sale as out of stock/ damaged. This will refund the buyer. You will get a Defect but you get your sellers back except for the .40 cents transaction fee.
The buyer may leave negative feedback.

Mentor1 month agoYou should be able to unscrew all the parts so they fit into an 80 inch long box. You will be charged up the ying yang due to the dimensions. What price did you charge the buyer?

Mentor1 month agoThat is going to be a problem. Any package over one cubic foot is considered oversize and can be very expensive the bigger the package. The USPS probably will not take that size package so you would need to look at FedEx or UPS. Each of these will have a surcharge for long packages in addition to the oversize package charge.
