Please help me!!
Hello, can someone help me please. I’m a newer seller. I’m learning a lot as I go and researching as much as I can. Well I was going to package an order today and noticed it had flaws I had missed when I originally made the listing and sold it. I felt horrible as this hasn’t happened to me. I wanted to refund the buyer and still send the item because I have no use for it and it was $15 shipped so I was going to eat it for my mistake of missing the flaws. Well what I did was I contacted the buyer and let them know everything and that I was so sorry and would like to still send them the item for my mess up. So I printed the label and then I refunded the entire $15 order to the buyer. Am I able to still ship the package with the label i got before refunding? When I click the tracking it shows me “tracking not availableâ€. I’m so scared that I didn’t properly do it correctly. I wasn’t sure if to just cancel, but I knew if I cancelled I wouldn’t be able to send it still. So that’s why I did it this way so I could send it for my mess up. I feel horrible and am so worried the tracking number won’t be active or that I will get my account messed up for not doing it correctly. I thought this was the correct way since I wanted to still send the item out at no cost to the buyer. I have anxiety and I just want to make sure I can still ship the item with the label it printed for me. Thank you so

We might be breaking new knowledge ground here with your unique situation. I want to add an optional idea here BEFORE you cancel the current label.
-First, refunding the Buyer for their entire purchase is similar to cancelling the transaction, meaning eBay views the transaction complete.
-Since you Refunded in full BEFORE the carrier (USPS) scanned the label that you purchased the eBay system simply may STOP any tracking history. However, USPS still has record of the purchased label and the tracking number assigned to that label.
-So, my suggestion is to take the package to the Post Office and have them scan it in for shipment. I suspect it will go through their system like normal but eBay will simply not update tracking on their end on the transaction. USPS however WILL have tracking history right through delivery. To them it is a live and paid for label, what eBay does with the information USPS sends them on tracking is not their concern.

Mentor9 months ago@sama-8710 I am not sure that would work since it's nothing a seller would normally try.
My advice is to cancel the shipping label and get a refund. Thank the buyer for their understanding.
You can void/ cancel the label within 28 days of purchasing it from the actions drop down menu next to the label on this page>
https://www.ebay.com/ship/labels/seller-hub
Then the postal service will refund you in about 3-4 weeks on your all transactions page here>

·9 months agoCheck your seller hub to see if the label is listed as manifest or canceled.
If it’s still showing as manifest, you can use it. If it’s marked as canceled, then don’t use it.
