Pirated software
I had purchased Adobe software that was supposedly legitimate for $925, which has now been remotely shut down by Adobe. They said that it was pirated software or not legitimate, in their random checks on their software.
What can I do now? The seller was "MisterBean033", and I cannot find him selling on here now.

OP2 years agoLisa5768,
This lockdown of my software was initiated by a random selection from Adobe, who said their system said the software was not a legitimate copy. I argued with the customer service person and told them that I had the receipt for the software, etc., without Adobe releasing it for my use again. The software initially worked, but Adobe completely shut it down early last year (2023).
Should I turn this vendor over to Adobe then, since it is/was a pirated copy? It has been longer than the time frames listed above for financial recourse through my payment source, and I think the vendor was confident that it would slip through their system long enough for him to disappear and start again under a new business or individual name. I would suggest that eBay check into the information he filed under and then ban him from ever posting items for sale again.
Thank you,
Gary

It depends on how long ago you purchased the software. You have 30 days from the delivery date to open a refund through eBay.
https://www.ebay.com/help/policies/ebay-money-back-guarantee-policy/ebay-money-back-guarantee-policy...
Go to your purchase history and in the drop down menu for the item select "return this item, Select "Received wrong item" or "Doesn't match description or photos" for the return reason.
If it has been longer than 30 days you will need to open the case with your funding source. PayPal and most credit cards allow 180 days. If it is longer than that check with your credit card company as some do allow longer times.
