Physical address corruption in Ebay

On my last purchase of an item using Ebay, my address was changed. I have purchased many things from Ebay without a problem. It appears my street address was changed. I do not know how this could happen. I really doubt that I could have changed it from a number of 650 (correct) to 260 (wrong). The recent purchase said the package was delivered by UPS. However, there is no such address as 260 with a SPC number of 231. It appears UPS also was in error.
What can we do to find the exact date and time the address Ebay has for me changed? Could this be some form of scammer testing the system?
I would really like to know how this could happen.
