Photos for different variations in a listing
When I add photos for a variation in a listing, it deletes photos already added for a different variation.
How do I stop this from happening?

Here's the situation there.
You can only change photos based on one attribute's options.
In your current listing, you are changing photos based on the Attribute 'Radius'
In your new listing you need to change photos based on degrees left or right *OR* the description ie Turn out jig
A simple example
1) First Attribute
- “Item Sizeâ€
I added these 2 options
Medium
Large
2) Second Attribute
- “Item Colorâ€
I added these 2 options
Red
Blue
I can upload 2 photos: a Red Shirt photo and a Blue Shirt photo
OR
I can upload a Medium Shirt Photo and a Large Shirt photo.
I can't upload 4 different photos (Red Med, Red Large, Blue Med, Blue Large)
You may need to break up your variations into multiple listings to show all the photos you want.
Let me know if you need more help.

Are you adding photos on the Variations page, not the 'main' page?
Default photos go here
Specific photos go here

OP9 months agoI'm adding photos on the Variations page.
There is a pull down that lists each variation. I click on one of the Variations and a page comes up that includes selections for each Option within the Variation. I then upload photos for each option within the Variation. At this point all looks good.
Then when I go back to the pull down to select the next Variation (weather I have saved the listing for later or not) a window pops up that says the photos for the current variation will be deleted if I select another Variation... and sure enough, they get deleted.
I currently have a listing (created over a year ago) that has that has multiple Variations/Options, Item # 376008853629, and when I created that listing I did not have this problem... I wonder if something has changed with the listing creation tool for Variation/Options, or am I not understanding how to use it correctly?
Any insights/instructions would be greatly appreciated.

OP9 months agoRelative to my last reply, I am probably confusing the terms Variations and Options, should be Variations and Attributes. But here is a screen shot of the pull down menu I mentioned in the previous reply.
