Permanent suspension
My adult daughter just created her first eBay account recently and had browsed around and "liked" a few things. Today, she tries to login and is told that she's been permanently banned. No real reason given. Any advice?

OP1 year agoNo. Just me with an account and I'm a light user and have no violations.

·1 year agoYou can contact eBay, but don’t count on them giving a detailed explanation or a method to resolve it. To keep from providing scammers and other bad actors from working around eBay’s security measures, they don’t often reveal exactly what led to account being suspended.
She can click this link to chat with an agent, or request a callback if that's offered:

Or she can contact eBay customer service via Facebook or X by sending a private message (don't post publicly on these pages):

Ebay would have provided the reason why she was "permanently banned".

OP1 year agoSomething silly like she was banned due to "the pattern of activities we have witnessed present a risk to our eBay community". She has only liked a few sweaters - had purchased nothing - listed nothing. That's why I said no real reason.

Mentor1 year ago"Liked"? ebay doesn't use Likes. Members can add a listing to their Watchlist, or add a seller to their list of favorite sellers, but there is no way to "like" an item.

OP1 year agoI meant watchlist.
