Percentage rates for Selling fees
What is the percentage rate on selling fees for educational games and toys (not software)? I do not see this category in the rates chart. Also, are clothes items 13.6% or 15% ? I’m confused on this from the chart. I’m trying to calculate the net profit ahead of time for the lowest listing price of my items in order to “make a buck†and not lose money.

Mentor1 year agoWhen you're looking at eBay's chart of categories and their corresponding Final Value Fee (FVF) percentages, it is important to pay attention to the bolded type. Here are a couple lines from the current chart:
Category
Insertion fee
Final value fee % + per order fee
Most categories, including eBay Motors > Parts & Accessories, Automotive Tools & Supplies, and Safety & Security Accessories. For vehicles, see our Motors fees.
First 250 listings free per month, then $0.35 per listing
· 13.6% on total amount of the sale up to $7,500 calculated per item
· 2.35% on the portion of the sale over $7,500

Clothing, Shoes & Accessories > Women > Women's Bags & Handbags

· 15% if total amount of the sale is $2,000 or less, calculated per item
· 9% if total amount of the sale is over $2,000, calculated per item
In the huge category of Clothing, Shoes & Accessories, only Women's Bags & Handbags are subject to a 15% FVF percentage.
Otherwise, most items carry the 13.6% FVF percentage. That appears to include your educational games and toys.
BTW and this is also extremely important:
That percentage, whether it's 6.7% or 13.6% or 15.3%, is applied to the total amount of the sale, the total amount paid by your buyer, which usually will include a shipping/postage cost and some sales taxes.

That determines the fees.
Most categories are 13.6% for items up to $7500
If the category is not called out, you can expect it to be 13.6%
Clothing is 13.6%
Handbags are 15% You can see it is for items listed in Clothing, Shoes & Accessories > Women > Women's Bags & Handbags
Just use the chart and if the specific item/category is not called out, expect to pay 13.6%
