Paypal not changable?
What is this? I've been on ebay since the 90s. Haven't used it in while. Why do I have to put in my bank account? I don't want people to wire me money. I'd rather have them pay with paypal aside from Ebay doing this stupid withholding thing.

Buyers are still allowed to pay with PayPal, but eBay does not make seller payouts to PayPal any more.
Buyers are allowed to pay eBay through their bank account(s), connected debit cards, major credit cards (MasterCard, Visa, etc.), PayPal, and other payment systems such as GooglePay, etc., etc.
NO eBay buyer will wire money to your checking account, as an eBay seller.
eBay will transfer your payouts (sale proceeds) to your checking account in a bank.
eBay does hold payouts for new or returning eBay sellers, such as yourself if you choose to start selling on eBay (or trying to) again. It's a reasonable business decision on eBay's part; ideally, it can protect buyers and eBay itself from cheating, lying sellers who try to run scams. Unfortunately, eBay has no way to know which sellers are cheaters, liars, and scammers. So all new sellers are subject to eBay's payout holds. After you've sold a few things and established a timely shipping record, the payout holds will be lifted.
It works great, really. Very smooth. My selling ID had a sale in the late afternoon on Wednesday, January 21, and the proceeds were in my bank on Friday, January 23.

Mentor8 months agoSimply put eBay spun PayPal off many years ago. Since then PayPal cannot be used to receive payouts but it can still be used for buyers to pay sellers. In the last two years sellers must sign up for the Managed Payments System to receive a payout. This means you must verify a checking account and provide your SSN to meet banking and IRS requirements.
