payout policy
You have lost a customer due to your pay out policies. In the past I sold items on Ebay with payout through pay pal. Even today, I can still BUY items using my pay pal account. But now you expect people to link a bank to your system along with an SS number. SS numbers are stolen all the time. This change is not convienent as pay pal is linked to my account and I do not understand why Ebay has changed? Therefore, I will no longer use your venue

eBay developed their own payment processing after selling PayPal - it was fully implemented 5+ years ago.
Other sites may be able to send your funds to PayPal, or maybe not - PayPal wants to be the payment processor, not just the receiver of funds to then send to your bank. Most, if not all, sites will require your SS# to meet federal ‘know your customer’ requirements.

Mentor9 months agoIt has been quite a while since Paypal has not been the payment processor for Ebay. (~3 years?)
If you do not furnish the required information that all the other sellers have to provide, you are free to choose to not sell on Ebay.
