Payout On Hold
I sold something on eBay about a month ago, and the buyer paid. However, eBay will not release the funds to me because they say my "payouts are on hold until you update your account details. Please update by June 6th to avoid further restrictions." When I go to put in my debit card information they tell me to use another card. I don't have another debit card. It's very frustrating to not be able to contact a real person for help. The AI help just sends in around in circles.

OP4 months agoIt says I have the option of having a checking account or using my debit card. I filled out the debit card info, but i have a feeling that the name on the card does not match exactly to my eBay name on file so that might be the problem. My debit card uses my first and last name (but i use my middle name in everyday life), but my name on my eBay account might include my middle initial or something. Might be something simple like that that is causing the problem because the names have to match perfectly. I will check

Mentor4 months ago@draw41 The debit card does need to be tied to a brick and mortar checking account. There is a $2 fee for payouts to a debit card. There is no fee for payouts to your checking account.
The mismatch of names may be causing an issue.
You will need to contact eBay customer service for assistance from #3
However I recommend checking a few things as eBay will NOT tell you what doesn't match for security reasons.
1. Verify that the name and address on your eBay account matches your checking account and government ID EXACTLY. I had to had my middle name to my eBay account so it would match my checking account and drivers license. You will need to provide your SS#. You can not use a PO box for your registration address as seller but you can use it for your ship from and to addresses.
2. Make sure the ACH routing number is the correct one to use for these type of deposits. Verify this with your bank.
3. Here's how to Contact Customer service
Click this link> https://www.ebay.com/help/selling/getting-paid/getting-paid-items-youve-sold?id=4814
Then Type Verify Checking account in the chat bot box on the lower right. (Do not add any additional information)
Then AGENT after the bot responds. You might have to repeat those steps.

You must have a checking account attached to your seller profile in order to be paid.
