Payout Denied Because unfettered access to checking not allowed
Has anyone else had the issue where they've had to close their designated payout account because eBay had, without authorization or notice, reached in and pulled out any funds? I had this happen back in July I think over a dispute that I was never notified of and they just without letting me know they just reached into my account and took out then goes $19 which resulted in an overdraft fee of $50 which cascaded and caused another overdraft. So now I've completed a sale it's been shipped and eBay will not provide me with my money I'm not willing to open another checking account just so they can have an open pipeline. Has anyone else received any payments from eBay through a different method, I. E. Check, gift card? I swear companies like eBay and Amazon get worse and worse each day and we're expected to just sit back like lemmings and accept it.

Sellers MUST provide a checking account number in order to be paid. No other methods are possible.
You can open a new online checking account to use just for selling. That way your personal checking account will stay private.
[I would never consider myself a lemming for complying with regulations I agreed to. That’s silly. Just stop selling on eBay if you’re feeling lemming-ish.]

Sellers are required to have a checking account on file in order for Ebay to distribute the seller's payouts from their sales. No checking account = no payouts.
Sellers ARE notified of disputes, you may have missed it. Ebay has the right to remove the funds from aseller's account to provide a refund to the buyer. Sellers agree to that as part of the user agreement.
"eBay can issue a refund to your buyer as the result of an eBay Money Back Guarantee case or payment dispute. When eBay issues a refund to a buyer, we may deduct the full amount from the seller for reimbursement."
"If the total of your Available, Processing, and On hold funds are insufficient to cover the outstanding amounts you owe, eBay will charge your on-file payment method for the remaining amounts owed within 14 days. We may add up the amounts you owe into a single charge. All the details related to these charges will be visible on your Financial statement."

You gave eBay access to withdraw funds for specific reasons when you signed up for Managed Payments (for example, to refund a buyer in a dispute). It's up to you to maintain a balance in your account to prevent an overdraft charge - that's not a problem eBay caused.
If you don't provide a checking account, you cannot receive your payouts. When you sell on eBay (or anywhere else) you accept the site's terms of service. It's their site, so they make the rules.
