Payout
If indeed giving eBay my bank account info, (and permission to take funds as they see fit for the rest of time) is the only way to get a payout then why was this information not required BEFORE I listed and sold an item?

Many sellers use a separate checking account for eBay so they don't have to use their main account.

That is odd - usually while creating your first listing, the system will direct you to enter your payment info before letting you complete the listing. We have no idea why it did not ask you for the info, but you do need to enter it now to receive your payout.
