Payments on hold until 3 days following delivery
Hello all
Does anybody have a hold on their payments until 3 days following delivery, that is NOT a new seller?? I’ve been an active seller for about 14 months, as I received a notification around the beginning of February stating something along the lines of- we’ve notice a spike in your selling/for security reasons to protect you and our buyers, we are going to put a hold on your payments and review your account; once your account is deemed safe, we will notify you and all will continue the same etc….
Ebay was correct. I did have a spike and sales as I listed several higher than usual priced item ($200-$400) shipped them out and waited for them to get delivered to get paid and waited for the payments to go back to daily, however, fast-forward to the present, as I am still on a wait 3 days until delivery to receive payments.
I contacted eBay CS probably five times as they always transferred me to the department that handles payments or disputes or similar and of course I received a different reason each and every time. None of them made complete sense, but I waited them out to no avail . Some of the excuses or reasons were that I was a new seller and it was for my protection and the buyers protection. I said I’m a new seller??? I’ve been selling for over a year and they considered me still a new seller they said because I’m not a business seller even though I sold close to 900 items . All of the reps confirmed my account was not restricted or suspended or any red flags. One rep said I should receive an email that I could reply to and that would activate my payments to go back to regular status. as another rep claim that I am waiting this long for payments because I have a poor history of tracking uploaded late, not late delivery, but the tracking uploaded late which again is **bleep** because when I looked under my defects, there weren’t any but 2. It’s all just a bunch of **bleep** and it’s really messing up my cash flow. I feel as if I’m almost being punished for having spike and sales. Does anyone have any input on this, please thank you so much

Many, many sellers are subjected to payment holds for a variety of reasons.

OP1 year agoThat may be true, however, i do not have any reasons to suffer held payouts. Just today someone from the leadership team and restriction dept told me they didn’t see any reason why there would be a hold on my payments, and sent me away with promises of emails to explain more and to give it X amount of days to go back to daily scheduled payouts. I just don’t understand why somebody can’t put a release on my holds, especially when every in each department are in agreement that there shouldn’t be a hold. They said the system automatically does it I said there’s gotta be a way to override the system. I guess we’ll wait a few more days and go from there

eBay already told you why your payments are being held.
we’ve notice a spike in your selling/for security reasons to protect you and our buyers, we are going to put a hold on your payments and review your account; once your account is deemed safe, we will notify you and all will continue the same etc….
I would start paying attention to all that negative feedback and take steps to improve your listing, shipping on time and uploading tracking, and communication going forward. None of the feedback has a comment from you. It gives the appearance you are not taking steps to rectify the buyers' issues. That is undoubtedly turning many buyers away from shopping with you.

OP1 year agoThe spike in sales resulted in an account review that that was completed less than a week after. eBay notified me that the account review was completed, as all activity will proceed back to normal. Negative reviews do not affect payments. I am not complaining of lack of sales , I am addressing lack of payments

Yes, that's correct....feedback has nothing to do with the release of your payments. But it does negatively impact your sales. My suggestion was just that...a suggestion (independent of the reason you posted). If providing good customer service and increasing sales is not of interest to you, then just ignore what I wrote.
This is the first time you mentioned receiving notification that the account review was completed, so there was no way for me to know that.
