Payment waiting times are ridiculous
Hi There,
has anyone else had issues with the hideous wait times on payments for new accounts?
so, my first sale was £50, £20 of that was postage which I obviously had to pay out. The customer received the item, was very happy and ordered more, £500 more.
the second order will cost over £100 to send
meanwhile, 13 days on from the first sale I haven’t received a penny from eBay and have laid out over £120 in postage costs
when asked I was fobbed off with “it’s for safety reasons with new sellers†but that is not true, if my customer received their item, left positive feedback and the sale is done, there’s no reason to hold funds or definitively not 100% of the funds, even partial would be unacceptable but at least I’d understand it.
im encouraged to sell on eBay, but £120 down I’m sitting here praying I don’t sell anymore as I can’t afford to send it.
what’s the justification apart from earning interest on the money you retain for holding funds for a totally ridiculous amount of time, 2 weeks!
