I am new to selling on ebay. Haven't done it in years. Does ebay now send a message here asking to do payment verification. I received the following and want to ensure its legitimate: Your account has been selected for this required review.What you need to do:Use the link below to verify: offer399.click [Copy and paste this link into your browser's address bar]

@garp-252 Did this come in your eBay messages OR in an email? I have never heard of eBay asking a member to copy and paste a link for verification. IF this was an email then I recommend forwarding it as an attachment to spoof@eBay.com

I would NOT copy and paste the link. I trust my browser security so I tried and it says it's not a secure site.

Here's how to set up your seller account.

All buyers payments are managed by eBay and sent to your linked checking account. eBay doesn't offer the debit card payout option at first.

You need to create your first listing directly on eBay to get your seller account set up.

Complete these steps in this order.

a) Draft a listing on eBay, click submit or "list it". The system should guide you through setup. If not, follow these steps:

b) Verify/update/complete your Profile Registration: Name, address, phone number, identity information (profile) on your eBay Account: https://accountsettings.ebay.com/profile
-- Use your Street Address, even if you donâ€™t get mail there.
-- Make sure to use your full legal name and that it matches your bank account and government ID ( drivers license etc)

c) And add a Checking Account ( it must be a brick and mortar checking account) and Credit/Debit Card: https://ppcapp.ebay.com/myppc/wallet/list

You will need to provide a SS# or ITIN to receive your payouts.

Please check to see if you have BOTH a Checking account marked for "Used for payouts" and a credit/debit card. One of these (bank account or card) needs to be marked for "Preferred for selling costs" I use a credit card for selling costs so that refunds and other fees don't come from my checking account.

@garp-252 If it came from eBay, it would be in your messages here on the site. I donâ€™t think that message came from eBay. I have never heard of a â€˜payment reviewâ€™.
