Payment to a foreign country
I recently had a problem with a seller located in China, I paid for an item and got a run around on the shipping status, they sent me several different tracking numbers at different times that were all delivered somewhere else. I finally filed a compliant with Ebay and after some time they refunded my money. Alot of time wasted and now the seller has disappeared. Why does Ebay release the funds to the seller before the items have been delivered and confirmed? This would save alot of problems with scam sellers.

·1 year agoThe funds were probably never sent to the seller, actually, or else they were charged for the refund. You have been made whole, and the seller likely removed from eBay if you cannot find them anymore. It sounds like everything is working properly with regards to identifying a bad seller and disciplining them. I'm sorry you had to deal with that, but eBay cannot know in advance which sellers will cause problems and which ones will not.
