Payment on Hold
I want to close my account. Due to security reasons, I don't want to provide my bank account details, and I wasn't able to sell any products, but a buyer paid an amount that is currently on ebay account and on hold. What shall I need to do?

It will take some time if you had recent activity.
If you still want to close your account, make sure:
You did sell an item on Jan 18
Have you shipped it to the buyer or refunded the buyer?

I've been buying and selling on ebay since 1998 and had two bank accounts registered with them since then. One for my shop and one for personal sales. I've never had an issue, since ebay does not let buyers or sellers know how a purchase was funded or where their funds go after a sale. Millions of sellers have their bank info stored with ebay, and do you think we would be doing that if our info was not secure?
As a new seller your payment will be held for 21- 30 days, and in order to get the funds released you have to provide a tracking number for items you have sold and shipped, so ebay and the buyer knows that you have sent it. You can purchase a shipping label through ebay with the funds you received for shipping even though the payment shows Pending or Processing and the tracking number will autoomatically be posted to the sold item.
If you do not give ebay a bank account to deposit the funds into when they are released, you will not get paid.

-Job one is to ship the item you sold to the Buyer if you haven't already done that. This will clear your account of any outstanding transactions.
-You could also cancel the transaction and the Buyer would be refunded by eBay. Your account would get a strike on it but if I understand you that is not going to be important to you.
-Here is a link to the eBay Help page for closing your account and recovering your personal date: Closing your account | eBay
Account closure is not instantaneous and one reason is insure any outstanding transactions are covered.
-If you are not going to get signed up to get paid then the funds on hold will eventually be turned over to your state and you can obtain the money through your states Escheatment process.
-Payments put on hold is a common practice until an account sells more: Payments on hold | eBay
-I assume that by security reasons you may have started to sign up to get paid and realized eBay (like many venues) requires your SSN and checking account information, that is where they send the money. Getting paid for items you've sold | eBay
