Payment on hold
Sold and shipped an item on 7/1/2025. Added fedex tracking number. Notified the buyer through ebay. Updated my bank information. Micro deposits verified. Reached out to the buy and asked if they would notify ebay that the item had been received. Have heard nothing.
The AI assistant is worthless.
Any suggestions that don't involve AI?

Mentor1 year agoThe item you sold was valued at over $1,000. eBay policy is that any sale or $1,000 or more will have the funds held for 30 days no matter what the status of the seller. eBay had too many problems with high priced items so they had to introduce this policy over a year ago to protect buyers and eBay.

All infrequent/returning Sellers will have their funds held for approximately 30 days in the event of a Buyer dispute. EBay allows Buyers up to 30 days to request a refund and the Seller needs to have the funds available available to cover that. This is especially true for high value items.
Once you have additional successful sales, eBay will start to release your funds sooner. In the meantime, Buyers cannot mark a package as delivered.

Since you sold an expensive item, Ebay can hold your payout for up to 30 days.
Per Ebay:
High priced items or unusual selling patterns may lead to transaction holds for up to 30 days to help us ensure that buyers don't have any issues with the order
