payment holds
I made a sale 3 days ago (on the first day!) and the buyer paid right away. I was informed that I had 3 days to ship, but then was informed that my money was being held because they didnt have a tax ID number, which they had not requested. I updated immediately, but money is still on hold because they are "verifying", even though they've collected all their fees. I read that they are allowed to hold money for up to 30 days, at their discretion, and there is no email address or phone number given to complain to.
Anyone else run into this? I had read that Ebay wasn't a seller-friendly marketplace, but this seems really wrong!

Mentor2 years agoYou don't complain. It is just a fact. If you provided eBay with your SSN/tax ID#, checking account number, and routing number, then you will get paid after the hold period. ALL new and returning sellers are subject to this hold. Ship the item, as the amount of shipping label will be available for you to use. You will get paid after the hold period.
