Payment holds
I sold an item over two months ago and the sale went great. The buyer received the item and to my knowledge was happy with the purchase. I provided tracking information and met all of the seller requirements. As soon as my funds became available for this item I sold, my account was suspended and my payouts were placed on hold. I received an email from eBay stating that the reason for the suspension was due to a separate listing that eBay, as well as I, removed. No further instructions on how to resolve the issue were provided in the email. I eventually contacted eBay via phone call and spoke with an agent. The agent instructed me to update the tracking information and to provide a copy of my identification, and that would fix the issue. So I do as instructed but still to no avail. I again contacted eBay and explained my problem. This time I was informed that another email would be sent with proper instructions to fix the issue. In this email I was asked to provide the original proof of purchase for my recent listings that I sold. I would gladly so, however this request is not possible for me to fulfill because the item was a gift from my grandparents a few Christmas’s ago, and unfortunately they are no longer with us. I have tried to explain this to eBay via message, but nothing seems to do the trick. I really just want my money that is rightfully mine, especially since I only sold the item because funds have been tight lately, and I could really use the extra cash right about now. Please, if anyone has any suggestions, or has experienced a similar situation and wouldn’t mind steering me in the right direction I’d greatly appreciate it.
