payment for accepted offer
Seller has listed a pair of items for a price of $250 plus $85 shipping. I need only one of the items and I asked seller if he was willing to sell one. He responded yes, he would sell just one and I should extend an offer. I proceeded to extend an offer for one at $100 but Ebay wanted to process an automatic payment to my payment method to include the shipping charge, $85, for a quantity of two. Therefore, I did not finalize the offer. I explained this to the seller and he asked that I extend an offer but wait until he forwards me an invoice to pay. How can I prevent an automatic payment when I extend the offer and wait for the seller to provide me an invoice? Or, would it be better just to pay the offered price (if he accepts) plus the shipping for a quantity of two and request the seller issue a credit for the excess shipping? Please advise. Thanks, Mike

Mentor2 years agoTell the seller if he does it that way, he will have to send you both for the offered price - you can't make an offer for part of an item. He should want to create a new listing for you.
