payment being held for 14 days for item that has sold
Can anyone advise if they experienced delays in payment from eBay over an item which has sold. I am reluctant to send it through the post when eBay say they want to hold payment for 14 days (approxiamately). Should I just cancel the sale?

Mentor3 years agoFunds for all new sellers are held either until delivery, 14 days or even 30 days, depending on the item and the value. If you want to sell here, you must go through a period when your payments are held. Once you establish yourself as a reliable seller, the holds will lessen and then stop.
If you cancel the sale, you will have to pay the full amount of the refund upfront before eBay releases the payment to you, plus you will put a defect on your account.
You should ship the item on time if you want to continue to sell here.
