Payment Authorized by Bank, but eBay Shows Unpaid
Hello everyone,
I need some advice regarding a recent issue. I won an auction on eBay and immediately made the payment using my debit card. My bank authorized the transaction, and the amount has been deducted from my available balance. However, on eBay, the order still shows as unpaid.
Details of the situation:
- Payment was authorized by my bank
- eBay still shows the item as “Awaiting paymentâ€
- Auction payment deadline is approaching
I already contacted my bank, and they confirmed the payment is authorized and waiting for eBay to process. Has anyone experienced this before? What should I do? Should I wait for eBay to capture the payment, or will the authorization eventually expire if eBay does nothing?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Mentor1 year ago@patr_9247 I recommend contacting customer service and having them take a look at the status of the transaction.
This sounds like a pending charge that will fall off and you still need to pay.
