I am new to ebay and have sold device.
How do I guarantee I will get payment?
When do I get paid .. before I ship?
Do I have to use the shipping method the buyer requested I would rather use fedex for this large item

Mentor8 months agoBad news. That item sold for more than $1,000 so eBay will have a mandatory 30 days funds hold on your money. So you must ship the item to the buyer by the method you showed in the listing. eBay will need to see that the item was delivered before they even consider making a payout when the hold is over.

These are all good questions you should have asked before listing your item for sale.
Your payment will not be released until probably 30 days after your sale, given the high price of the item. eBay will not give you the buyer’s address until they have paid. You ship to that address only with insurance and signature required at delivery.
Shipping is probably going to be an issue. Do you have a crate for the item? How big is it? It looks way too large for usps, and probably too large for fedex. For usps a package cannot be larger than 130†length (the longest side) + girth (all around the other 4 sides) and 70LB. Fedex and UPS will accept up to 165â€/150LB.
You might be able to use ups or fedex freight. You will have to call your local carriers and see who can handle this for you. It is important to use a carrier that has integrated tracking, so that eBay can see when it is delivered.
Contact your buyer and let them know it cannot be sent usps, and that you will let them know the shipping method as soon as it is arranged.
