Question

hi, I bought a boat And was wondering how I need to go about paying for it Iâ€™ve never used eBay before and would love some support and help on doing this. I donâ€™t know if Iâ€™m actually talking to the seller or somebody else I would need to figure out what is going on.

If you found the listing for the boat on Craig's list or Marketplace, it was a scam if the ad said the transaction would be through ebay, and the price is a low one. eBay offers no storage/shipping service for sellers. Eventually the seller will ask for payment by gift cards which would like giving them cash, it is untraceable and unrecoverable.

If you did find the listing on ebay, there is usually info on how and when the seller wants to be paid. Some require a deposit to hold the boat/car until you are ready to pay. Either way you should either inspect the boat your self or have it inspected for you, and if a deposit is required ask the seller if it is refundable if the boat doesn't pass inspection. If the boat was listed by the seller who starts auctions for $1 request cancellation, eBay Motor auction wins are not binding and you can do that.
