Paying tax
Why am I sometimes paying tax on clothes when any purchase under 109 should be no tax on clothes. But recently I've been ordering from eBay live. And some orders they decide to just charge me tax. Any answers

Many states exempt purchases of clothing from sales taxes. Apparently your state limits that to purchases under $109.00, which is news to me. (My state applies sales taxes to almost everything . . . . . . .)
On eBay, one of the criteria used to determine when sales taxes are collected is the category in which the item is listed. Thus, when you buy a shirt or a jacket that is listed in a clothing category, and your total purchase is under $109, and your delivery zip code is in an area where those sales taxes are not applied -- eBay will not collect sales taxes on that purchase.
However: If that shirt or jacket has the name of your favorite professional sports team, in the colors of that team, with the logo of that team, but the seller has listed it in Sports Memorabilia or perhaps Athletic Equipment -- sales tax will be applicable and eBay will collect sales tax. Regardless of the dollar amount and regardless of the zip code in your delivery address.
Where can you find the category? When you are looking at the listing, you'll see a box of Item Specifics information, just above the Item Description. One of those Item Specifics is the category.
Make sure you are buying clothing that has been listed in a Clothing category.
