Paying for purchases on ebay

Question

For years, my ebay purchases were paid out of my PayPal balance. I have always pay for ebay purchases from my balance in Paypal. If my Paypal balance wouldn't cover an ebay purchase, the balance would be taken directly from my checking account.

Since about January, my ebay purchases are being paid directly from my checking account to something called ebay commerce, even if I have a positive PayPal balance and regardless of the seller.

How do I get the charges directed to come out of my PayPal balance as they used to be?

If you selected PayPal to pay, then the problem is on PayPal. Log into your PayPal account and reset your payment options.
