Paying buyer Directly
A buyer is asking me to pay him directly through venmo or paypal. His paypal looks legit with phone number, messenger, location, instagram and job. Is it possible that I pay him and he doesn't give me the product and if that happens is my payment covered by ebay.

Mentor8 months ago@mull9372 Do NOT take the transaction off of eBay or you will not be covered by the eBay Money Back Guarantee.
Always pay using eBay checkout. A few select categories do allow Classified listings which you do pay for offsite but again you have NO protection from eBay if the item is not delivered or not as described.
Can you share the item number or link to the listing?

Do NOT pay by any method other than using the checkout on eBay and paying eBay.
If you pay a seller directly, you will likely lose your money and eBay will not protect you.
Also, all communication should be through eBay messages, this is for your protection.
