Pay for coins with gift card
I attempted to use my $50 Ebay gift card to purchase a collectible coin and got the message that it could not be applied. I had to pay out of pocket in full. After perusing the gift card terms and conditions, I found a statement indicating that they cannot be used to buy coins among other things. How come? Is there any chance that this policy will be reversed in the future? I don't accept the "turn around and convert it back into money" excuse, since anything and everything could be resold if you know the market and have a client.

Mentor1 year agoUnfortunately this is not just an eBay requirement but a Federal one that applies to gift card usage. eBay will not be changing their policy unless the government does.
