I'm not able to figure out how to see past sales of a item. Or other auctions and how much the sale cost

I prefer to look at the eBay "sold" listing for my item. You can find the actual sales prices for your item, or a similar item by doing a search, and then filtering for SOLD. You'll find the Sold filter on the left-hand side of the website view, or under "filters" for the mobile view.
