Partially used colonge
I recently discovered that eBay no longer allows the seller to list partially used perfumes and or colognes. I am totally ok with this however here is my issue. Ebay ended my listing for a vintage bottle of cologne that was partially full, again which is understandable if that’s the policy.
Meanwhile there are several active listings for partially full cologne and or perfume.
I don’t get it? Why are only certain sellers targeted? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

You weren't targeted, you were caught by eBay or reported by someone who saw your listing. You can report listings that violate policy and haven't been caught (yet) by clicking the question mark at the bottom-right of the listing.

OP8 months agoI understand if eBay removed my listing because I wasn’t aware of the policy and it went against policy. But how come others have not been “ caught†by ebay?
Maybe someone selling the same thing reported me? 😆
Thanks for replying.

eBay has over 2 billion active listings on the site and they are changing all the time. Bots continually comb the site looking for policy violations, but they don't catch them all, or they haven't scanned those listings yet.
Users can report policy violations - it's not necessarily a competitor.
As for the question mark... it looks like eBay has moved it to the right side of the listing page and it is now always visible (which is a welcome change).
Here's an example:

OP8 months agoMakes sense! Honestly I am a small time seller which is as much a hobby ( love the thrill of the sale) as it is to earn a little money while downsizing or redecorating.
Your input is much appreciated. Thank you for your time and expertise.

OP8 months agoi don’t see any question mark. I scrolled all the way to the bottom of the listing.

Mentor8 months agoWhat categories are these partially full perfumes and colognes listed? Perhaps these listings just have not been reported, or I suspect they are listed in categories that are not perfume or colognes.
