Partial Shipment/Order Damaged

Question

I purchased a Full Size Autographed Football Helmet with a Full Size Display case. The Helmet was received intact; however, the Display Case was damaged beyond repair. I don't wish to send back the helmet, as it is a piece I needed for my collection; however, I believe I should get a refund for the display case or a new one sent out. Have you tried messaging the seller to tell them about the display case damage, and maybe included a photo of the case? You should do that first and ask for a partial refund for the cost of the case. There are full size Acrylic football helmet cases available on ebay for between $30 and $79. There's a chance your seller may not know how to issue a partial refund so you may want to tell them to do a Google search for "Refunding buyers, eBay". If they do that they can learn how to do send a partial refund.

You may want to search ebay for "Full size football helmet display case, in the Home and Gardens category to find the cost of one that is nearest to what the seller sent.

If your seller doesn't respond within a few days you can go to the listing click on the More Actions button, select return item and from the menu choose Item damaged, and follow through to file the dispute which will appear in your My ebay page under Returns, The seller will have 3 days to reply and can offer a partial refund for the cost of a new case, if they want.
